There appears to be a problem with the main lock on the gate. The gate is trying to open but the lock is not releasing.

The lock components have been oiled but the gate is still not opening.

Therefore the gate has been left permanently open.  

Please do not shut the gates as the lock will engage manually and has to be opened manually.  If the gates are then forced open this will break the lock. A new lock will be at a cost to the community.

The gate technician has been advised and will be attending first thing on Wednesday 15 October.
