At our AGM it was decided not to employ a Pool Supervisor this Summer. This decision was taken not because it was thought it was not necessary, but because it was felt that we can spend €5,000 more sensibly and to prevent a rise in fees. The AGM also instructed the President to send out copies of the rules and to stress the need for people to abide by them.
Every year there are complaints about people being inconsiderate to their neighbours, or making an intolerable noise when in the pool areas.
Please bear in mind that this is a residential area, not a hotel or a holiday camp and people who live here permanently have a right to be able to live in peace and quiet. It is particularly important because several people living on this urbanisation are not in robust health and the last thing they need is people partying into the small hours on their patios or making excessive noise in the pool.
The rules are now being reproduced on this website and available to all owners. Every owner must ensure that rules are kept. And if you have your relatives or friends visiting your property or you rent your property out, please ensure they all observe the rules and do nothing to cause disturbance to others.
The procedure is as follows: If you are troubled by noisy neighbours, firstly ask them to desist. If it continues and it’s outside acceptable hours, call police. Incidents will be recorded and the Committee and President will have no hesitation in asking our Administrator to send warning letters and if necessary begin legal action against an owner. Read the rules (below) to see where that legal action can end up.
